TCM Classic Film Festival Announcements

Passes for the 2016 TCM Classic Film Festival will go on sale this Thursday, November 19th.

As shared here in August, the 2016 festival will take place in Hollywood from April 28th to May 1st, 2016.

The 2016 festival's theme is "Moving Pictures," and indeed, the first six titles announced for the festival include some "weepers"!

Those "moving pictures" are THE SONG OF BERNADETTE (1943), A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN (1945), IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE (1946), and THE KING AND I (1956). IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE turns 70 in 2016, while THE KING AND I celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The festival will also feature world premiere restorations of HORSE FEATHERS (1932), starring the Marx Bros., and SHANGHAI EXPRESS (1932), starring Marlene Dietrich.

For more information, please visit the festival website. I'll have future announcements on the festival here as information becomes available.
